ERA Joins with TEA to Release Highly Anticipated Theme Park Attendance Report
Los Angeles, CA- The results are in: worldwide theme park attendance grew 2.2 percent in 2006, and the top 20 theme parks in North America hosted 120 million visitors, a growth of 1.5 percent.
These and loads of other numbers are from the new Theme Park Attendance Report, published by the Themed Entertainment Association using work conducted by ERA. The joint effort is considered the definitive industry benchmark for annual attendance at the world’s top attractions.
To generate the figures, ERA uses a wide range of sources: theme park operating statistics, historical numbers, financial reports, local tourism organizations, and convention and visitor bureaus. ERA analyzes the global market as a whole, and well as the sub regions of North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
The Theme Park Attendance Report is created under the supervision of Raymond Braun, head of ERA’s Entertainment and Recreation Practice Group. ERA pioneered analytical techniques and methodologies related to the planning, development, and operational evaluation of many of the world’s leading attractions.
